My Story
I know what it feels like when the alarm goes off and there’s a sense of dread about the day ahead, the calls, the emails, the constant mental load.
You’re functioning on the outside while feeling disconnected on the inside.
After completing an Honours Degree and a Postgraduate Diploma at Trinity College Dublin, I spent over 20 years working at senior level in the construction industry as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor. I managed complex, high-value projects for some of Ireland’s largest contractors.
From the outside, life looked successful.
On the inside, I was struggling.
Anxiety has been part of my life since my teens. Over time, sustained pressure and difficult working environments took their toll. Burnout didn’t arrive dramatically, it crept in slowly.
I felt empty, disconnected, and stuck in a cycle of coping rather than living.
Like many people under prolonged stress, I tried to escape how I felt. That eventually led to a serious alcohol addiction and a personal breaking point.
Choosing recovery changed everything.
Through recovery, grief, and significant life change, I learned something fundamental:
Lasting change doesn’t come from pushing harder or doing more.
It comes from understanding what’s happening beneath the surface — and responding differently.

How I Made Change
I made the difficult decision to walk away from the career I had built. I sold my home and moved back to the West of Ireland to rebuild my life in a way that felt truer and more sustainable.
I retrained as a Certified Life Coach, Mentor, and NLP Practitioner — combining professional training with lived experience.
Along the way, I got married and became a father. Those milestones reshaped my understanding of responsibility, balance, and what truly matters.

“Nothing changes, if nothing changes.”

Today, I support people who are under pressure, whether in life, work, or both.
I help people slow things down, think clearly, and make decisions that genuinely change how they live and work.
My approach is calm, practical, and grounded. It respects the reality that clients have jobs, families, responsibilities, and limits.
