Why Work With Me?

Choosing to work with someone at this point in your life isn’t a small decision.

Most people who come here aren’t looking for motivation, productivity hacks, or surface-level advice. They’re looking for someone steady. Someone who understands pressure and won’t minimise what they’re carrying — or dramatise it either.

This page is here to help you decide whether I’m the right person for that role.

I offer structured 1:1 coaching and group work for people who want to make change and just don't know how.

You're managing.

You’re showing up.

You’re getting through it.

But underneath that, you feel stretched, anxious, or quietly exhausted.

If you’re functioning on the outside while carrying more than feels sustainable on the inside, this is where the work begins. This isn’t about reinventing your life overnight.

It’s about slowing things down, understanding what’s really driving the pressure, and building responses that work in real life.

We create space.

We untangle what’s been building beneath the surface.

We make changes that are realistic, grounded, and lasting.

Why Work Together

01

I’ve Lived the Pressure You’re Feeling

I understand sustained pressure from the inside — not just from theory.

I’ve lived with anxiety since my teens. I’ve experienced burnout, addiction, recovery, grief, and the slow process of rebuilding a life that no longer fit.

I know what it’s like to function on the outside while quietly struggling on the inside.

That experience shapes how I work. I don’t rush people. I don’t judge them. And I don’t reduce complex situations to simple answers.

03

A Calm, Confidential Space

People work with me because they need somewhere steady to think.

A space where they don’t have to perform, impress, or hold everything together. Where they can speak honestly without being judged, analysed, or rushed into solutions.

Confidentiality and discretion are central to how I work. What’s shared here stays here.

04

I Don’t Work From Ego or Templates

My training includes accredited coaching and NLP, but the work itself is not about techniques, labels, or theory.

I don’t push programmes or promise outcomes.

I work alongside you — steady, honest, and focused on what genuinely helps.

You’re treated as a person, not a problem to be fixed.

02

I Focus on What’s Real and Workable

This work respects that people have real lives — jobs, families, responsibilities, and limits.

We don’t chase perfection or radical reinvention for its own sake. We work with what’s actually happening and focus on changes that are realistic, sustainable, and meaningful in day-to-day life.

If something doesn’t make sense in real life, we don’t do it.

04

I Understand High-Pressure Environments

Before retraining as a coach, I spent over twenty years working at senior level in the construction industry as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, managing complex, high-value projects for some of Ireland’s largest contractors.

I understand responsibility, deadlines, decision fatigue, leadership pressure, and what it feels like to be relied upon while running on empty.

That background allows me to meet professionals where they actually are — not where they they think they should be.

04

The Aim Is Lasting Change, Not a Quick Fix

The goal of this work isn’t a breakthrough moment or short-term relief.

It’s helping you build a way of living and working that feels steadier, more grounded, and better to be inside — long after our sessions end.

We work towards change that actually lasts.

What This Work Gives You

So, Therapy VS Coaching: What’s the Difference?

THERAPY: Healing the Past

Therapy is well suited to individuals who need professional support with:

  • Past trauma

  • Long-standing emotional pain

  • Mental health challenges

  • Crisis situations or unresolved distress

  • Diagnoses that require clinical care

Working with a therapist allows you to explore and make sense of past experiences, helping you find stability, understanding, and emotional healing.

If you’re considering taking the next step

You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin.

The first step is simply a conversation,  a chance to talk honestly about what’s going on and see whether working together feels right.
